General Position Description:
This position is responsible for small project implementations (less than $25,000) and PMO, Program and Project Manager support, Works with PMO, other internal staff, and customers to manage the various components and activities needed to initiate, execute, control, and close small projects and large MAC orders, Assists PMO, Program and Project Managers with documentation, equipment inventory tracking, change orders, billing, and reconciliations.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
PMO, Program or Project Support Responsibilities;
Assist PMO, Program and Project Managers with documentation, order tracking and inventory, billing, reconciliation, and job change order (JCO) preparation
Develop PowerPoint presentations for Internal and External Kick Offs
Review scope of work with customer to ensure project integrity and communicate customers’ responsibilities to ensure they are an active participant as required to assure project success
Establish and manage to specific project milestones
Determine appropriate project team staffing requirements and ensure requirements are adequately met.
Communicate goals, objectives, and customer expectations to project team members
Coordinate events and act as the central point of contact for internal and external resources including the customer while communicating project status and risk analysis to customers’ and Nexus IS management regularly throughout the project
Establish goals and objectives, scope of work, implementation plan and time frames, and implementation team responsibilities for the project
Establish site documentation, progress status meetings, configuration plan, training and follow-up plan, and test and acceptance plan
Monitor/measure timeliness, profitability and customer satisfaction for each project
Supervise and ensure quality implementation by internal and external resources
Solicit competitive bids from authorized service providers for specific project cabling/wiring requirements
Manage project risks to resolve jeopardy conditions adversely affecting on-time performance, profitability or customer satisfaction
Collect progress payments as required from customer
Make full use of project management and financial tracking tools provided, and consistently evaluate the profitability of the projects assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• 1-2 years of exposure working with Cisco or similar technology products
• 3-5 years of experience in entry level project management and supervising a team is required
• The ability to analyze job content and make recommendations
• Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional organizational and control skills

College Degree or equivalent work experience.
Certified Assocate in Project Management(CAPM)preferred.
