General Position Description:
Responsible for managing multiple complex projects within the constraints of scope, time, cost, risk, and quality in delivering specified requirements while exceeding customer expectations.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Review scope of work to insure project integrity and to identify, document and mitigate risk. Review scope of work with project team and customer - to define and communicate project roles and responsibilities.
Develop a project plan or work breakdown structure to capture major milestones and tasks for specific project deliverables
Determine staffing requirements to assemble project team.
Act as a central point of communication for the creation and dissemination of weekly status reports, project plans and associated project collateral
Establish site documentation, progress status meetings, configuration plan, training and follow-up plan, and test and acceptance plan
Supervise resources (both internal and subcontractor) to ensure adherence to quality standards and industry best practices
Solicit competitive bids from authorized service providers for specific project needs
Manage project risks to resolve jeopardy conditions adversely affecting on-time performance, profitability or customer satisfaction
Assure billing milestones are met and invoiced timely. Assist in the collection of funds as required.
As project nears completion, ensure all project deliverables are complete, punch lists created as required and service delivery acknowledgement signed off by customer for transition to post deployment team (NTAC).
Make full use of project management and financial tracking tools provided, and consistently evaluate the profitability of the projects assigned.
Perform timely updates of project management tools (EPMA) which produce all financial and management reporting
Works with all Nexus organizations to share lessons learned and best practices
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
7 - 10 years of experience minimum in project management and supervising a team is required.
Previous VAR experience is a strong plus
Knowledge in Cisco-related technologies.
o Some knowledge, preferably in 2 of 3 minimum in the following core/primary domains is essential:
Data Center Infrastructure
• Backup & Recovery/Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Planning
• Unified Communications: Voice Deployment Experience is a huge plus
• Contact Centers
• Business Video
• Hosted Collaboration
• Bring your own device (BYOD)
• Data Security
• Physical Security
Knowledge in the sub-domains below the 3 core/primary is a huge plus
Project management training is required; project management certification is desired
Knowledge of PMI methodologies
The ability to analyze job content and make recommendations
Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and control skills
Ability to work effectively with teams and foster cohesiveness
Must be proficient with the use of MS Project, Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point
Experience in SharePoint is a strong plus
Experience using a PPM tool is a strong plus
The person is this role must demonstrate the following:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.
Direct supervisory experience is desired
PMP or similar certification in project management preferred
ITIL certification is a plus
